Barry Kieselstein-Cord belt set with buckle
Rare set of 4 Barry Kieselstein-Cord leather belts with an elaborate buckle. The set consists of:
1 white lizard belt
1 brown alligator belt
1 black alligator belt
1 slate alligator belt
1 buckle
This is a fantastic set! Switch out the buckle in seconds to match your belt to your outfit! This set is likely from the late 1970s, when Kieselstein-Cord launched his status belt buckles on alligator belts ( which went for $275 in 1976!!).He caught the attention of Andre Leon Talley which would subsequently lead to the designers buckles being featured on 14 pages of Vogue shot by Helmut Newton. These belts have quite a legacy!
Condition: great vintage condition with some light wear. As shown the buckle has areas of tarnish. The black aligator belt has had an additional hole punched in it. The white belt shows a few marks along the holes. Very minor Wear otherwise; a touch of wear on the inside near one or two of the holes. 3 of the 4 belts are missing their slider
