1980s midnight navy Parachute suit with a strong 1940s influence. It has a very fitted waist, with strong shoulders and subtlety round hips, creating a distinct hourglass silhouette.
The jacket has a sharp collar and fierce pockets on the front - they are rounded on the inside but sharp on the outside. It fits wider along the shoulder and nips in at the waist, as was common in the 80s.
The skirt is beautiful on its own. It has a high waist and a wide waist band. While it is not a wrap skirt, the fabric overlaps beginning under the waistband, which allow for movement.
Both pieces are lined; the skirt is lined up to the waistband.
The skirt does up in the back with a zipper and 3 button. The jacket does up with 3 fabric covered buttons
Condition: Great vintage condition with minimal wear; one of the jacket buttons is a touch loose
