1960s couture silk beaded metallic maxi gown with a matching maxi coat. This set is out of this world stunning! The fabric and pattern is magestic. The bead work is outstanding! This set weighs a few pounds - the material and beading add up! This is a dress Elizabeth Taylor surely would have worn - it is so regal!
The dress does up with a zipper down the side and a handful of hook and eyes on the left shoulder. The coat neckline is fabulous and snaps shut! It has a few other snaps to secure it closed. The coat has a delightful cream silk lining.
Condition: wounded bird. This a stunning set that unfortunately has lost a lot of beading and has tearing in the fabric. This set is very heavy and has succumb to rack wear from hanging in the shop. It is a great piece for a collector or someone keen to restore it. It is being sold as is. Please be aware of the condition before purchasing it - it needs a lot of TLC
